Resin infused blue denim mechanical mouth with undyed denim teeth, created October 2023.

The mechanical smiling machine is made from a combination of hardened blue denim and hardened undyed denim. Three blue denim parts form the jaw, the top of the mouth and a bridge. The white denim is shaped into teeth. It includes a pink fabric tongue wound around a threaded bar with a nut on each end. The threaded bar provides a hinging movement that allows the top piece of blue denim to move up and down. The machine includes brass detailing across the front of the mouth.
