How long is the waiting list?
I make each pair to order and they are handmade so there is an 8-10 week waiting list until they are ready to ship.
How are they handmade?
I have spent over 10 years developing my unique process for making denim sunglasses. Starting with making the material by infusing dead stock denim and resin, making a carbon fibre like material, going through many processes and finishes, using my own handmade jigs for assembly. It takes 2 weeks to make a small batch in my workshop based in Cornwall, UK.
What lenses do you use?
I use Zeiss Polarised lenses for all orders requesting tinted lenses.
Can I have prescription lenses?
We offer frame only for customers who would like to add their prescription lenses.
On delivery, you will receive instructions to give to your optician and they can replace the lenses for you.
Can I send you my old jeans to make my order from?
As Mosevic is a small business and I make each pair by hand and in small batches, I am unable to offer any custom orders or make glasses from personal items.
Where can I try them on?
Currently we are an online only business and don’t have any physical stores to try on our styles.
As each pair are made to order and are handmade, I don’t have the capacity have customers try them on or to offer any wholesale.
Although it is not the same as trying them on in real life, there is a virtual mirror on the product pages where you can get a sense of style and size before you buy.
If you decide the style isn’t right for you once they arrive, we have a 14 day return policy and would be happy to exchange them for another style or offer a refund . For more information, please see our returns policy below.
Do they come in different sizes?
All styles are one size only apart from style Cassini which comes in a size small and large.
You can find all dimensions on the product pages.
What are the materials like?
Once the denim is infused with resin, the material behaves similarly to unfinished wood. The frames are varnished to give a water resistant finish, also making it resistant to oils from your skin and lotions like sun cream. You can wipe any products, such as make up, off the surface.
It still looks and feels like denim. You can see the beautifully intricate pattern that is the result of cutting through the cotton fibres.
Brass is used for the final details. This material is perfect not only in contrast to the denim but in finish. We currently don’t offer any other metal finish.
Do they come with a case?
All orders arrive in a branded box and micro fibre bag which can also be used to clean the lenses.
