Our handmade denim sunglasses are the result of obsessive craftsmanship—each pair packed with carefully considered features, many of them entirely unique to Mosevic. Every element has been designed with purpose: to enhance performance, ensure comfort, and deliver a look that’s unmistakably ours. Some details took months to perfect—some, admittedly, caused a few headaches—but together, they form a frame that’s as functional as it is beautiful.
It all begins with two small brass dots on the front of the frame, just beside the bridge. More than just a design flourish, these dots anchor the exposed brass bar that runs across the top of the frame—a structural backbone that strengthens the sunglasses and helps them hold their shape over time.
This was the very first piece of metal Jack introduced to the design, and it sparked the use of brass throughout the collection. Functional, yes—but also beautiful. The dots are a subtle detail, but they set the tone for everything that follows.
we’ve equipped each pair with a five-barrel hinge — a subtle but significant upgrade from the standard three-prong design. The added prongs provide greater durability, reducing arm movement and ensuring a more secure, lasting fit. It’s a small detail, but one that reflects our commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship.
At the top and bottom of the arms, you’ll notice brass teeth — larger ones near the hinge and smaller ones at the end of the arms. The purpose is simple yet effective: they grip the denim to the brass, ensuring a secure, lasting connection. While other brands may hide such functional details, we embrace them for their beauty and purpose. And, of course, Jack spent countless hours perfecting these joints, obsessed with every detail to ensure they were as visually striking as they were functional.
Looking closely at the inside of the arms, you’ll find Mosevic’s name and the location of our workshop, a quiet signature of where and how your frames were made. Etched with precision — a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship. Another unique touch: the name of your chosen frame style is also etched onto the inside of the bridge, giving each frame its own identity. Each frame is given an intergalactic-inspired name, a subtle nod to the cosmic inspiration behind our out-of-this-world designs.
At the top of the arms, you’ll notice a golden zig-zag — a signature branding detail that instantly identifies your sunglasses as a pair of Mosevic frames. This subtle yet striking element eliminates the need for a large logo, offering a distinctive touch that’s both bold and refined. It’s a simple detail, but one that reflects our preference for understated elegance.
At the other end of the arms, you’ll find another distinctive feature — what Jack affectionately calls a ‘handsome faceted jewel’. This geometric detail mirrors the angularity of the golden zig-zag, with hand-sanded edges ensuring a comfortable fit behind the ears. Its inward-angled design symbolizes a star at the end of its life, bringing a cosmic element to the frame’s geometry — a thoughtful touch that merges beauty with meaning.
